Located just south of Des Moines and a stone's throw from Rathbun Lake State Wildlife Area. Emerald Hills overlooks the rolling hills of Southern Iowa. The wildflowers, wooded pathways, and meadows are a romantic backdrop for our skillfully designed venue space. Every detail has been carefully thought out to make your wedding seamless. Emerald Hills Events is owned by Travis and Abby Ewing. The couple designed the venue together. The journey began with co-founding the Heritage 1865 hunting lodge, hosting hunters from around the globe. After years of experience, their passion for the hospitality industry bloomed into what Emerald Hills is today. Emerald Hills’ commitment to an effortless process, warm professionalism, and simplistic design make it one of Iowa’s most desired weddings.
